ROTC has six Cadet officer ranks.
What is the highest cadet enlisted rank?
There is no higher cadet officer rank than Cadet Colonel. There is NOT a cadet enlisted rank of Cadet Master Sergeant, Cadet Master Gunnery Sergeant, or Cadet Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps.

Do ROTC cadets outrank enlisted?
The NCO referred me to AR 600-20, Army Command Policy, which makes it pretty clear that West Point cadets do, in fact, outrank Army NCOs. This regulation shows that cadets rank after commissioned and warrant officers, but before NCOs.
How do you rank up in Jrotc?
Have an organized and updated portfolio. JROTC grade of 80 percent or better.
Receive a passing grade in JROTC.Have a balance of 5 merits.Company Commander recommendation.Perform individual drill movements in Chapter 4.No Disciplinary Actions/Unexcused tardies within 1 month.Missed less than 3 uniform/PT days per quarter.
What rank do you get after JROTC?
The rank would be a non-rank (SMP) for ROTC students. If a BS is achieved the starting rank is 2nd LT. Depends on college degree, but most likely PFC is going to be your starting point. SPC is available for those who already have a bachelors.

Special Projects Officer (S-5) acts as the contact between the corps of cadets and all news media and student publications. No. Students who enroll in ROTC don’t join the Army. They take an ROTC class for which they receive credit. It’s considered a college elective.
