In Clans, Mary learns that Munro is the leader of the gang of assassins that attacked her and Francis with the intent of killing her. The culprits killed Francis instead, and Mary promises to rip his heart out as he did hers.
Why was Francis killed off in Reign?
The funeral of King Francis was an event held at French Court so that everyone could come to bid the King farewell. Francis died from head trauma after he saved Mary from a gang of assassins.
