Australia post has a service called MyPost where you can create an account and manage your delivery. This is completely optional and simply grants you more control over your deliveries.

Post tracking: Provides the possibility to track the status of the registered post with the Indian post Office tracking number. The sender can actually check where your package is.
How do I get a MyPost QR Code?
Your QR code can be found in the ‘Send and Save’ tab in MyPost Business. Then if you’re paying for postage at a Post Office, make sure you scan your MyPost Business QR code, so any savings are automatically applied to your account. You can order packaging through MyPost Business.

With this free service, just choose a safe spot at the delivery address and we’ll leave your parcel there for you.

Can I track exactly where my package is?
Using the service you can track the location of a sent package on Google Maps. The service currently works for packages sent by FedEx, UPS, TNT and DHL. To track a package you just have to enter the package’s tracking number. You are then presented with a Google Map that shows the current location of your package.
