How long does it take for premixed grout to dry?
Allow it to dry for two hours and then remove any haze remaining on the surface with a soft, dry cloth. 24 hours. For shower floor applications, allow mortar bed to cure at least 4 days and allow 7 days for grout to dry before use. Clean tools and hands with water before material dries.
What does a good grout job look like?
Wall boards are properly recessed (anchored prior to being placed) Transitions between hardwood, granite and other materials are seamless and clean. Underlayments and subfloors are evenly buffed and polished before laying grout. Cut tiles used in corners or perimeter of room are pattern-consistent.
Can you Regrout tile over old grout?
You can apply new grout right over the top of the old grout. To do this, all you need is a grout removal tool. Use the tool to strike out the old grout, making sure the depth is at least 2mm, which is about the thickness of two dimes stacked one on top of the other.
